Jack Kimball: Why I Support Jerry Delemus

“Free Jerry DeLemus & Support Donald Trump Rally” 1PM, Saturday, April 29th at the NH State House

April, 2014, Bunkerville, Nevada — Nevada Sheriff Doug Gillespie convinced BLM agents to “stand down,” de-escalating what was a tense stand-off situation between BLM agents and citizens supporting the Bundy family in their dispute over land rights, a huge issue in the western states. After this tense stand-off had ended, the Bundy family and their supporters began rounding up his cattle that the government had taken, and repairing water systems and fencing that were damaged by BLM agents.

Jerry DeLemus arrived at the Bundy Ranch the DAY AFTER the widely publicized standoff, and stayed for a couple of weeks to assist the Bundy family in restoration of order prior to returning home to New Hampshire. JERRY DID NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE STANDOFF WITH BLM AGENTS. Two years after his return home Jerry was arrested at his home by FBI agents on a number of trumped-up charges, along with 30 other people around the country who were also involved in the Bundy dispute.

Jerry was arrested in March of 2016 and has been INCARCERATED ever since without bail, without due process and without the Constitutional right to a speedy trial. Jerry DeLemus is a US citizen and a decorated United States Marine veteran who served his country with honor and distinction. We know Jerry to be a man of peace and poses no threat to the community.

We believe Jerry’s arrest is an act of retribution by agents of the federal government because of their dispute and standoff at Bunkerville, Nevada. People who know Jerry DeLemus support him in his fight against the autocratic bureaucracy. Therefore, we demand that ALL CHARGES BE DISMISSED and that he and the other innocent men be returned home.

We must shine a light on this injustice! Please join us in the “Free Jerry DeLemus & Support Donald Trump Rally” on Saturday, April 29th at the NH State House

"About Jerry"

In early March of 2016, Rochester resident, Marine Corps Veteran, and conservative activist Jerry DeLemus was arrested by an FBI SWAT team and charged with multiple crimes relating to his presence at the Bundy Ranch in Nevada in 2014.  Since then, he has been held without bail and will not be given an opportunity to prove his innocence in court until early 2017.   The process of awaiting trail is itself a punishment.  The DeLemus family is suffering emotionally and financially; yet the government has denied him bail, despite having never proven him to be any danger.

People who know Jerry describe him as generous, honorable, and patriotic; and innocent of the charges being brought against him.  Susan and Jerry DeLemus will need ongoing support while Jerry awaits his day in court, which will be many months away.  If you are able to make a one-time contribution – or better yet, a monthly contribution – you can help to ensure that Susan and Jerry are able to weather this ordeal no matter how long it takes.  Even a small amount will help.  To learn more about how you can contribute or volunteer, select the DONATE menu item at the top of this page, or e-mail

Letters Needed to Request a Pardon for Jerry

An effort is under way to seek a PARDON FOR JERRY DELEMUS. If you would like to help, please consider sending a letter to US Attorney General Jeff Sessions to object to the sentence handed down recently, and to ask for a pardon for our friend, neighbor and fellow patriot. What follows is a sample letter, which you can copy and personalize as you see fit. Please write and send your letter as soon as possible.

The Honorable Jeff Sessions, Attorney General of the U.S.
Office of the Attorney General
U.S. Department of Justice
950 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW
Washington DC 20530-0001

Dear Attorney General Sessions,

I am appealing to you to pardon verdict against Rochester, New Hampshire resident Gerald (Jerry) Delemus who was arrested on March 3, 2016 by the FBI on charges stemming from the 2014 standoff between cattle rancher Cliven Bundy of Nevada and federal agents. The Bundy ranch is located 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Bureau of Land Management agents confiscated Bundy’s cattle over grazing rights and the Bundy family appealed to the public for help against the BLM heavy handedness. A network of citizens across the country reacted to this plea and they flocked to Nevada to show their support and to help round up the cattle as well as protect the Bundy family from harm. A standoff between the Bundy family and supporters and BLM agents ensued. Nevada Sheriff Doug Gillespie convinced BLM agents to stand down, thereby de-escalating a tense situation and eventually, BLM agents left the area which allowed the Bundy family and supporters to retrieve the Bundy cattle.

Federal arrest warrants for 35-40 of the Bundy ranch supporters were issued a full two years after the event. As clearly documented, Jerry arrived in Nevada the day after the highly publicized armed standoff yet he was charged with offenses relating to that event. Jerry was held without release and without a speedy trial for over a year. Chief Judge Navarro ignored the fact that Jerry was not involved in the armed standoff and, as noted in her sentencing decision, held his legal efforts to change his plea as reason for additional punishment. This is blatant disregard of law and justice for Jerry.

Jerry DeLemus is a decorated United States Marine who served his country with honor and distinction. He is a man of strong passions with a thirst for freedom. He cares deeply about community and this country. That is why Jerry DeLemus offered his services to his community as candidate for County Sheriff. Jerry also served as Strafford County co-chairman for Veterans for Donald Trump in New Hampshire during President Trump’s campaign.

Regardless of who is right or wrong between Cliven Bundy and the BLM is irrelevant. This is a gross miscarriage of justice for an honorable man who did not deserve this archaic judgement.
