Who is YOUR Master?

From Jerry DeLemus 4/27/20 As we continue living our lives under the "new" mandates of our government due to the "flu pandemic" it is worth considerning what we are doing. We are not to go into public except for, more or less, emergency issues or obtaining the necessities of food or medicine etc. And when we do we are to keep in line with the regulations of "social distancing" and keeping the 6 foot space between us and anyone else. Our businesses have all been rated by our government; whether they are deemed "essential" or not. We blindly obey these requirements even when the facts don't really support many of our leaders' new rules for living. We are not allowed to attend church as that is certainly not essential, although having an abortion is. So we obey our "master" and our master is man. We fear contracting this flu and dying or giving it to someone else who may die. We fear being cited or arrested and at a minimum being accused by society as not caring if we break any of the new rules for living. Our "master" has made rules for us, even laws, that we are required to obey or we may die or be prosecuted. In a nation that claims to be 70% "Christian" I find it odd that the church of today falls right into line with what their master "man" tells them to do and is obedient to their "master". This same church, that when God Himself tells them there are 10 Commandments that man is to obey, rebels and says, 'not so', that would be "legalistic". This same church that doesn't seem to have a problem doing what man says, only with what God says. If we read the 10 Commandments in Exodus 20:3-17, which ones tell us not to work, not to come together to worship God and His Son Yeshua (Jesus)? None of them tell us those things, but the church ignores them saying, "the law has been done away with". Oh for the doctrines of man that we would make the Commandments of God of no effect! No problem wearing your mask or not going to church but doing what God Himself commanded?, now that's a problem. Oh that's right, we complain if the government says we can't have the 10 Commandments on a plaque or stone out in the public square, don't ask us to follow them because that would be legalistic. Do we not see the irony here? Do we not know why Satan was expelled from heaven? Do we not know why Adam and Eve were kicked out of the garden and their entry blocked? If we read 1John (and you should do it right now) we are told clearly what sin is, 1John 3:4 "Whosever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law." and that we are not to sin at all. When we stop sinning we are no longer under the law but if we do sin we put ourselves right under the law and it's punishment. Do you go to church with the congregration without a mask and hug each other? No? Why not? Is it because you would be breaking your master's law and possibly be punished and maybe die? Well what about YeHoVaH God and His laws? Do we not fear breaking them and thereby receiving the reward for sin which is death? "Fear not him who can kill the body, fear Him who can kill the body and the soul". Who is your master? Who do we serve? For that is our master, whether we want to accept it or not. The panic over this flu and especially how the church handles it says much about the condition of the church. It would be worth our time to read Revelation 3:14-22 about the Church of Laodicea, the "it's all good" church. Yeshua (Jesus) Himself warned us of the "hirelings" who run when tribulation comes and Satan scatters the flock. Who is our master, have we even stopped to see if our behavior matches our proclamations of faith? Will we be like 5 of the 10 virgins that were not prepared when Yeshua returned for the wedding feast and find ourselves locked out and who Yeshua (Jesus) doesn't even acknowledge knowing? Hearers of the Word but not doers? Who is our master? Walk like Yeshua, talk like Yeshua, do what Yeshua did and by doing that you will keep His Father's Commandments, all 10 of them, this includes the Sabbath as it is sinful not to. Those are not my words but YeHoVaH God's Word. Semper Fi, (another "ambassador in chains") Jerry
